आकार के आधार पर कंप्यूटर के प्रकार (Types of Computer based on Size) 

1. माइक्रो कंप्यूटर (Micro Computer)

माइक्रो कंप्यूटर (Micro Computer) वह कंप्‍यूटर होते हैं जिन्‍हें आराम से डेस्‍क पर रखा जा सकता है, छोटे कंप्‍यूटरों का विकास 1970 में माइक्रो प्रोसेसर के अविष्कार के साथ हुआ, माइक्रो प्रोसेसर आने से सस्ते और आकार में छोटे कंप्‍यूटर बनाना संंभव हुआ, इन कंप्यूटर्स को पर्सनल कंप्यूटर (Personal Computer ) भी कहते है, माइक्रो कंप्यूटर (Micro Computer) में डेस्कटॉप कम्प्यूटर, लैपटॉप, पामटॉप, टैबलेट पीसी और वर्कस्टेशन आते हैं

2. मिनी कम्प्यूटर (Mini Computer)

मिनी कम्प्यूटर (Mini Computer) अाकार और क्ष्‍ामता में माइक्रो कंप्यूटर (Micro Computer) से बडे होते हैं, सबसे पहला मिनी कंप्यूटर 1965 में तैयार किया था, इसका आकार किसी रेफ्रिजरेटर के बराबर था, जहां एक ओर पर्सनल कंप्‍यूटर यानि माइक्रो कंप्यूटर (Micro Computer) में एक C.P.U. होता है वहीं मिनी कंप्यूटर्स में एक से अधिक C.P.U. होते है और मिनी कम्प्यूटर (Mini Computer) पर एक साथ एक से अधिक व्यक्ति कार्य कर सकते है, इनका उपयोग प्रायः छोटी या मध्यम आकार की कम्पनियाँ करती हैं

3. मेनफ्रेम कम्प्यूटर (Mainframe Computer) 

मेनफ्रेम कम्प्यूटर (Mainframe Computer) आकार में बहुत बडें होते हैं, बडी कंपनियों में केन्द्रीय कम्प्यूटर के रूप में मेनफ्रेम कम्प्यूटर (Mainframe Computer) का प्रयोग होता है, एक नेटवर्क में कई कंप्यूटरो के साथ आपस में जोड़ा जा सकता है इसमें सेकड़ो यूज़र्स एक साथ कार्य कर सकते है, मेनफ्रेम कम्प्यूटर (Mainframe Computer) में नोड डॉट जेएस (Node.js) एक सॉफ्टवेयर प्लेटफॉर्म का प्रयोग किया जाता है

4. सुपर कंप्यूटर (Super Computer) 

सुपर कंप्यूटर (Super Computer) अन्य सभी श्रेणियों माइक्रो कंप्यूटर (Micro Computer), मिनी कम्प्यूटर (Mini Computer) और मेनफ्रेम कम्प्यूटर (Mainframe Computer) की तुलना में अत्‍यधिक बड़े, अधिक संग्रह क्षमता वाले और सबसे अधिक गति वाले होते हैं, इनका आकार एक सामान्य कमरे के बराबर होता है, सुपर कंप्यूटर्स का प्रयोग बड़े वैज्ञानिक और शोध प्रयोगशालाओ में शोध कार्यो में होता है, 1998 में भारत में सी-डेक द्वारा एक सुपर कंप्यूटर और बनाया गया जिसका नाम था "परम-10000", इसकी गणना क्ष्‍ामता 1 खरब गणना प्रति सेकण्ड थी अाज भारत का विश्व में सुपर कंप्यूटर के क्षेञ में नाम है

 1. Microcomputer

 Microcomputers are computers that can be comfortably placed on a desk, small computers evolved with the invention of micro-processors in the 1970s, with the introduction of micro-processors, it was possible to make cheap and small-sized computers, these computers  Also known as Personal Computer, Microcomputers include desktop computers, laptops, palmtops, tablet PCs and workstations.  Applications

 2. Mini Computer

 Mini computers are bigger than microcomputer in size and shape, the first mini computer was designed in 1965, its size was equal to a refrigerator, where on one side is the personal computer ie microcomputer.  ) In a CPU  There is more than one C.P.U. in mini computers.  There are more than one person working on a mini computer, they are often used by small or medium sized companies.

 3. Mainframe Computer

 Mainframe computers are very large in size, large companies use the mainframe computer as the central computer, many computers in a network can be interconnected with hundreds of users in it.  Can work, Node dot js (Node.js) is a software platform used in mainframe computer.

 4. Super Computer

 Supercomputers are much larger, have higher storage capacity and higher speeds than all other categories of microcomputers, mini computers and mainframe computers.  Equal to a normal room, supercomputers are used in research work in large scientific and research laboratories, a supercomputer made by C-DAC in India in 1998  Defense was named "Ultimate -10000", calculated Cshamta 1 trillion calculations per second today in the name Kshetr supercomputers in the world, India
